Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.~Laura Ingalls Wilder

Update for Wayne Switzer –
Okay, so I really like hearing that we might get more news about our classmates, and so I'm pitching in with the kind of stuff I would really like to hear about everybody else. The more the merrier!
I'm living in Virginia, married 19 years as of New Years Eve 2007, and have 17 and 15 year old daughters and a 13 year old son. We're in a very typical suburban town and schools. Sarah, my 17-year-old, is into classic and modern rock and is determined to go out of state for college. She also wants to live and work in Europe when she graduates college. Right now Fordham is her number one choice, she has gotten in there and we're working hard on financial aid applications. Rachel is trouble on wheels, skipping school though getting good grades, favorite place is West Virginia and four-wheeling, and prefers country music. She wants to go to West Virginia University and doesn’t know for sure about careers, maybe a major in pre-med or computer science, probably as a ROTC. Joseph is the mellow guy, the musician, who is really into piano for the last 8 years, and trumpet for four, but now wants to compose rock and learn guitar. His main achievement, apart from excellent grades and advanced classes, is learning the keyboard part to Emerson Lake & Palmer's Trilogy -- he's good. But he's just a beginner at composing.
My wife Cathy is a nurse, working for 3M implementing medical software at hospitals around the country. She's on her third career, having been a machinist, a computer scientist, and a nurse (until recently working within the Emergency Departments of hospitals). Nursing is her 'love it' career, and she's very good at it. For relaxation she cooks, and I fight not to gain weight (sort of successfully, though I would prefer to lose). As for me, I work at FAA and my new goal is to get a private pilot's license - expensive but I should get there in a year or two. I've been involved in aviation for the last 10 years, since moving to Virginia. I now get to travel to Maryland and Virginia's eastern shore and tidewater areas to visit airports, about once a week, and it's good getting into the field seeing the projects I'm involved with and getting out and about regularly. For recreation I just recover from commuting, relax and read, and get involved with the kids and Cathy on shopping, going out, movies. Cathy and I are looking forward to the empty nest and life after children, though it has seemed to go by pretty quickly.
Well, I just wanted to say hi and catch up, see if I could get a 'hi' back.
